About Us

We build rugged, custom teardrop trailers that go wherever adventure awaits. Enjoy the outdoors and stay cozy.

Our trailers offer a smooth ride on the highway or in the wild. We can customize a teardrop just for you, whether you want a sleek trailer with modern or retro appeal — or a tough trailer that can take whatever’s around the next curve in the road. Our high-grade components and rigorous quality control ensure your travels are always safe and fun.

We also offer lots of accessories to make your campsite the perfect home base for exploration.

What can we build for you?

Our Team

We’re proud of the craftsmanship and care we put into our teardrop trailers. It takes a fantastic team to bring you this level of quality, customization, and precision.

Kevin Purdy, President

Before starting at TeardropsNW: I was looking for something I could be passionate about. I found my passion at TeardropsNW.

What’s your favorite piece of camping gear? The Ranger II stove, because it’s so well constructed with cast iron. Also, it has a great flame that allows you to boil water in five minutes!

What’s your favorite model and why? My favorite model is the Sojourn with the retro fenders. The Sojourn’s curves give it a style like no other teardrop trailer.

Woody CArey, General Manager

Before starting at TeardropsNW: I was involved in the manufacture of RVs, only on a much larger scale. We built luxury fifth wheels and travel trailers up to 35 feet in length. I enjoyed the work, but I’m very glad to be working for a smaller company and with a tight-knit group of great people.

What’s your favorite piece of camping gear? My favorite piece of camping gear would have to be the Engel 50 quart cooler. We typically camp a lot in the heat of summer, so a quality cooler is at the top of my list.

What’s your favorite model and why? I like all of our models! But if I had to choose only one for the rest of my life, it would be the Recon because it is versatile. I could take it with me across the United States, and it would act as a well-mannered trailer should on the interstate. On the other hand, I could take it off road and off the grid, and end up far from the hustle and bustle of life. The Recon delivers for any adventure, and I like that flexibility.

Tim Purdy, boise, ID, sales

LINDA Coberly, Shop Mom

What would you be doing if you weren’t the owner of TeardropsNW? I’d be out camping and visiting family and friends throughout the country.

What’s your favorite piece of camp gear and why? Other than a teardrop? I’d have to say my coffee maker. It’s a manual drip, and you can make coffee as strong as you want — and you don’t need any power.

Bobby Calizon, off-road specialist

Bobby was the original purchaser of the first Recon teardrop. He helped design many of the Recon’s features. He brings a wealth of knowledge from the off-road industry. He ran an off-road specialty shop modifying 4x4 vehicles for over 20 years.

Bobby has spent over 100 nights and covered 15,000 miles with his Recon throughout the country since 2015. His personal Recon is the most traveled teardrop trailer we’ve ever built, so he has extensive trailer towing knowledge and camp experience.

If you’re looking for an expert in the teardrop trailer field, send Bobby an email, and he would be happy to answer any of your questions.
